Early Bird Registration

The deadline for Early Bird Registration is 15 March 2026.

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations and refund requests for registration, banquets and tours must be submitted by email to Conference Char Dr. Beatrice Amyotte by 1 May 2026. Cancellations made by this deadline will receive a full refund, minus a 25% cancellation processing fee.

Cancellations made after 1 May 2026, will not receive a refund. No refund requests will be granted for no-shows. Delegate substitutions are not permitted.

Abstract Withdrawals

Requests to withdraw an abstract must be made by e-mail to Scientific Committee Chair Dr. Lord Abbey

Details and Descriptions

The deadline for Early Bird Registration is 15 March 2026. Standard fees will apply starting on 16 March 2026.

Society members pricing is available to current members of the Canadian Society for Horticultural Science. Purchase your annual membership here.

Full Registration can be purchased to attend all symposia, panels, workshops, poster sessions, and refreshment breaks scheduled for the conference. The schedule includes full days of talks and posters on Thursday, June 18 and Friday 19, and morning sessions on Saturday, June 20. Lunches will be provided on Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19. Full registration also includes complimentary tickets to the Welcome Reception on Wednesday, June 17 and the Gala Dinner on Friday, June 19. The Local Tour on Wednesday, June 17, is not included in the full registration fee and tickets must be purchased separately ($125 per ticket). Additional tickets for these events can be purchased for accompanying guest(s) until sold out.

Single Day Registration can be purchased for Thursday, June 18, or Friday, June 19. Day registration includes all symposia, sessions, lunch, and refreshment breaks scheduled for that day. Single-day registration does not include the Welcome Reception ($50), Gala Dinner ($125), or Local Tour ($125). Tickets for these events can be purchased for yourself and/or accompanying guest(s) until sold out.

The Local Tour will be on Wednesday, June 17. This will be a bus tour of horticultural venues in the Nova Scotia Annapolis Valley. The bus will leave Acadia University at approximately 8:30 AM and return at approximately 4:30 PM. There will be a lunch and wine tasting at Luckett Vineyard, as well as visits to three berry, tree fruit, and vegetable production or research sites with tours provided by innovative growers, processors, and scientific experts. Please note that the transportation is a school bus, however other accessible transportation can be arranged by request. More details to come!

The Welcome Reception will be on Wednesday, June 17 in the early evening. The reception will be held in the KC Irving Centre Garden Room at Acadia University. This will be an opportunity to meet and network with the speakers, delegates, and sponsors of the 2026 national conference. Hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic drinks will be served with live piano as entertainment. A cash bar will be available for alcoholic beverages.

The Gala Dinner will be on Friday, June 18 in the evening. This will be a semi-formal dinner and awards ceremony in the Fountain Commons Great Hall at Acadia University. An exciting menu of local food and drinks will be curated for the event. Awards will be presented to graduate students for their oral and poster presentations. Awards will also be presented for outstanding contributions to the society. A cash bar will be available for alcoholic beverages. More details about food, drink, and entertainment to come!

The Open Poster Session will be on Friday, June 18 in the afternoon. This will be an opportunity for local interested members and special guests to visit the poster session and learn about horticultural science in Canada. There is no fee for this event, however, registration is required. The number of registrations will be restricted based on venue and catering capacity. Please see the note below regarding undergraduate and graduate students. More details on timing to come.

The Open Panel & Workshop Session will be on Saturday, June 20 in the morning. This will be an opportunity for students, local interested members, and special guests to learn and engage about inclusive Canadian horticulture. There is no fee for this event, however, registration is required. The number of registrations will be restricted based on venue and catering capacity. Please see the note below regarding undergraduate and graduate students. More details on timing to come.

Student, Postdoctoral, and Emeritus discounts are available to graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and retired guests. Please reach out to the conference organizers if you are unsure of your eligibility for these discounts.

Graduate Students who register for the full conference will receive complimentary tickets to the Students Only Reception on Thursday, June 18 along with all other benefits of full registration.

Graduate Students who cannot register for the full conference are welcome to attend the open sessions on Friday and Saturday. There is no fee for these events, however, registration is required. Open-registration graduate students are also welcome to submit abstracts for poster presentations, but they will not be eligible for awards.

Undergraduate Students are welcome to attend the open sessions on Friday and Saturday. There is no fee for these events, however, registration is required. Undergraduate students are also welcome to submit abstracts for poster presentations, but they will not be eligible for awards.

Community Members are welcome to attend the open sessions on Friday and Saturday. There is no fee for these events, however, registration is required.

A non-refundable Administration Fee of $20.00 will be charged for all registrations.
